Chelsea Pumpkins

Hey, I’m Chelsea.
I love all things creepy, ghoulish, and macabre, and I hate taking myself too seriously.

Write like a motherf*cker

My mind spins in the intersection of a bizarre and morbid “what if” imagination, and a structured, logical approach to project management and problem solving. Growing up, I was told in school I had a knack for writing, but I pursued a career in the sciences instead.

I mean… have you seen a more gifted child?

Over the past couple years I’ve dedicated time and space to enjoy writing again, and here I am. My stories wander into dark corners, and often reject the promise of happy endings. I draw inspiration from the modern happenings of our world (climate change, social justice, human rights, and technological reliance), feminism, and the mysterious moments of life that chill you on quiet night.

Joie de vivre

When I’m not writing, reading, or watching something spooky, I’m either on-the-go or on the couch.

Traveling is my all-time favorite activity. Whether I’m hiking through the National Parks, or eating and drinking my way through a new city, I love the experience of exploring somewhere unfamiliar.

Almost as much as traveling, I love bumming around my home with my husband, pitbull, and two mischievous cats; and doing nothing in particular with friends. I’m hard-pressed to find something more enjoyable than an uncontrollable bout of laughter.
